With three decades of experience, Bill Collum is an accomplished senior executive, and e-commerce visionary. He has an extensive background in several high-technology industries, including telecommunications, defense, e-government, e-commerce, and transportation. Throughout his career Mr. Collum has held a wide variety of technical, managerial, and executive responsibilities including system engineer, laboratory supervisor, senior scientist, product manager, mergers & acquisitions analyst, and general manager. He has participated in a number of large acquisitions, merged complex business processes and organizations across enterprise boundaries, assisted in the creation of several business units and new “start-up” companies, planned products and product lines, and has held P&L responsibilities for a number of high-growth organizations. Since retiring from corporate life in the early 1990’s he has worked with numerous start-up, turn-around, and M&A projects, and has held officer-level positions (CEO, COO, CTO) and board representation in a number of businesses. He has also acted as an asset manager, investment banker, and angel investor for promising technology-focused projects.

After a long and successful career, Mr. Collum retired from corporate life in the early 1990's. He then began a second career as a business re-engineering consultant. In this capacity, he has worked with a number of Fortune 500 companies, helping them to assess and improve business processes, organizational structures, technology applications, and corporate cultures. Mr. Collum has worked with companies and government agencies all over the world, and is well known as the author of a powerful enterprise modeling method, “Quantum Business”, that provides valuable new insights into enterprise structures, behaviors, and efficiencies. While Mr. Collum's services are in strong demand, and he occasionally consults with corporate and government clients from time-to-time, he has discovered that his true passion is helping startup or distressed companies break through to the next level of success.

In addition to his business responsibilities, Mr. Collum has been a guest lecturer at several major universities, and has acted as an instructor at various research facilities, teaching graduate-level courses in project management, business re-engineering, and a number of related information technologies. He has authored publications on a wide variety of topics, including articles on the future of electronic commerce (1986), quantum applications in computing and communications (1994), organizational agility (1997), and holistic business models (2000), and writes a monthly column for a national magazine.
