Jeff Janes

Advisory Board

 

Jeff Janes has served on the Advisory Board of College Planning Association since 2010. He also served as a Director on the Board from 2009 to 2010.

 

Since 1994, Jeff Janes has worked in various sectors of the financial services industry. He currently is the President of the Annuity Distribution Division of a financial services organization , he was the National Sales Manager for Sammons Annuity Group. While there he represented the annuity division on the national level by managing all the company’s external wholesalers and generated sales by providing marketing strategies and product solutions to the company’s financial advisors.

Prior to his work at Midland National, he spent 6 years at The Principal Financial Group where he directed all the marketing for the company’s individual life insurance product lines. Over his career, Mr. Janes has won 12 awards for marketing, advertising, copywriting, layout and design.

From 1996 – 2006, Mr. Janes served on the Board of Directors for a $65 million retail financial institution representing more than 12,000 customers. He served three consecutive terms as board president. Mr. Janes holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from The University of Iowa, and is Series 6, 63 and 26 licensed. He resides in Ankeny, Iowa with his wife and two sons.
